Super BlackBird Test Ride!

Postby Iggy » Mon 25 Sep,2006 16:12

Wow, Wow, Wow,.............

I've been out on one of these today:
Image

I nipped into Sid Morams in Slough to have a look at the 06 Blackbird, and he had an 05 late registered bird (not quite a year old) sat in the doorway.

I started to dribble when Pete came over and said "I'll push it outside and you can get a better look at it." As I got on it, he gave me the keys and my lid and said "Go and have some fun!"

I had just shy of and hour on it, and I can't stop grinning! It was amazing. It was lighter than my 600 FS!, and just felt perfect. It fitted like a glove.

So, now all I need to do is raise the cash before someone else rides off on her!

The bike is on a late 05 plate.
2890 miles
Metallic Black
As Stock
Immaculate

Price £6395.

Just checked Bike Trader and can't one for cheaper, Doble's have one for £200 less, but it has 14000 miles on it.

All donations to the Iggy Blackbird fund greatfully recieved.

I've got a job interview tomorrow at 1200.

The method of buying depends on the outcome of the interview!

So, I'll have to re-evaluate tomorrow.

Not part ex'ing Chuff, want to keep the 600 for work.

Wonder what tomorrow holds in store for me? :dunno:

Thanks Chuff, I didn't get the colour I wanted with the 600, so I'm prepared to wait for the right Bird, except, I've riden it today!

Well, I'm 5ft 10 and it fitted me perfectly. Not as scrunched up as the 600 but not as up-right as the Pan European, if you get my drift. I felt very comfortable on it. Everything felt very natural.
